Wagor Elementary has always been famous for teaching through festivals, certainly known as a school that applies the trending STEAM spirit where kinesthetic learning happens. We greatly presented the “2016 Christmas lighting ceremony” on the Friday before Christmas weekend. On the same day, we’ve also donated the money our students raised from the second hand market charity event to Taiwan Fund for Children and Families, which spread more love during the wonderful holiday season. In this celebration, the students from both choir and dance club presented their angel voices and fancy moves, and when the color ribbons popped out from the top of the Christmas tree and Santa Claus arrived brought the entire crowd to the climax of this celebration. It is definitely one of those events that turned students’ moments into memories.

感恩禮讚 聖誕點燈

　　結合節慶教學，葳格小學於12/23上午進行一場聖誕點燈感恩禮讚活動。該活動同時將學生於12/8甫進行的愛心二手市集公益收入捐贈至南台中家扶中心，以幫助社會上更多需要幫助的人，而今年的點燈儀式還加入創意的聲光元素，讓在場的每位師生驚呼連連，聖誕老公公的翩然出場，更是整場點燈活動最令學生興奮的時刻，而整個典禮便在大家互道聖誕快樂聲中，畫下完美的句點。

　　本次活動中，共邀請了校內的小提琴培訓班、熱舞社以及剛締造臺中市國小英語歌謠競賽三連霸的合唱團同台獻藝，展現葳格學子才華洋溢的一面，讓整場活動亮點滿滿。

　　結合生命教育感恩教學的內涵，甫於12/8結束的愛心二手市集，共募得9萬元的公益基金，其中3萬7千元響應葳格教育體系的愛心園遊會邀請，捐贈至伊甸社會基金會，餘5萬3千元則是全數捐贈至西屯區南台中家扶中心響應公益，同時也讓葳格的學生學到「有能力就去幫助需要的人」的人文精神，這也是葳格教育體系的重要核心價值之一。

　　整場活動的高潮則是落在別具一格的點燈儀式，為了讓白天的點燈儀式更具看頭，輔導室挖空心思準備一場的聲光點燈秀，猶如飛箭煙火效果，衝向聖誕樹上的希望之星，讓在場的葳格師生驚豔不已，而聖誕老公公亦在驚呼聲中悄然現身，讓葳格的學生直呼「今天，真的好開心」。

　　葳格小學洪武吉校長表示，「懂得隨時感恩身邊的人，一直以來都是學校師長傳遞重要的核心人文價值，而養成孩子全人教育的方向，亦是學校辦學主軸，透過節慶教學的結合，讓學生在享受佳節的氛圍裏，更顯重要。」
