Managing One’s Own Emotions班級輔導活動--情緒整理小技巧
People are born with the ability to control their emotions thereby making it unnecessary to teach them how to control and express their feelings. However, some recent social events have shown that knowing how to deal with emotions and managing situations properly are not always clear. Teaching these skills are crucial for an awareness of how people would react in differing situations.
The counseling office schedules counseling activities for all classes every year. This semester the counseling office designed a lesson “Emotion Education” especially for third graders.
The activity was conducted with the use of the Children’s picture book “Colorful Monster” to help students learn how to manage their emotions by color-coding happiness, sadness, and anger.
During the lesson, students learned to understand their feelings better and understand that people show different emotions in different circumstances. They also learned how to accept that their emotions are ever changing, how to express their emotions, and how to deal with their emotions.
The counseling office wants to help our students learn how to identify, deal with, and express emotions of their own in positive and healthy ways. They also want them to be able to recognize other people’s feelings and know how to communicate properly, so they can get along with people and grow up happily.
情感教育,是一直以來受到忽略的教學面向,似乎它是與生俱來的能力,可以不用學習。只是,近年來相關社會事件頻傳,能否妥善處理出現情緒時所帶來的反應,已是重點所在。
本校輔導室每學期固定安排班級輔導活動,本學期特別針對三年級各班設計一節以「情緒教育」為主題的輔導課程。藉著孩子愛聽故事的特性,選定由「彩色怪獸」為主角的繪本,融合藝術人文領域,教導孩子使用顏色來辨識情緒,並穿插活動讓孩子一同針對五花八門的各種情境來整理自己「快樂、傷心、生氣」三種常見的情緒感受,同時與班上同學分享。
過程中,讓孩子理解自己在什麼情況下,會有什麼情緒感受;也讓他們明白,在同樣的情境裡,因為看待角度的不同,自然會產生與他人不同的情感反應。學習接納自己的情緒變化、抒發情感,並與情緒和平相處。
輔導室希望利用每一次的班級輔導活動,幫助葳小的孩子分辨情緒、安頓情緒、用正確健康的態度表達情緒、辨別他人的情緒和學習語言的和諧關係,從中建立情感教育的重要內涵,使他們快樂成長。
