To teach our students the importance of reusing products to save our earth, Wagor elementary school hosted a second hand market event last Friday. Students would bring things they’re no longer using, but are still in good shape, to school and sell them to those who are in need at affordable prices. Each class then donated the amount the money it made from the products they’ve sold to organizations such as Eden Social Welfare Foundation and Taiwan Fund for Children & Families for charity. This was not only a charity event, but also a lesson taught to our students about the importance of caring and cherishing.

愛地球、做愛心--從葳格開始

　　本校為生命教育系列活動，設計一場愛心二手市集。此活動結合環境教育與生命教育等跨領域議題，目的是在引導孩子們落實地球資源的再運用與分享的概念外，更希望孩子們都可以從「心」做起，強化葳格學子對地球資源的愛護。而整場的交易所得分別捐贈給「伊甸社會福利基金會」與「財團法人台灣兒童暨家扶基金會」（南台中家扶中心），以幫助弱勢族群，響應公益活動。

　　整個活動，從孩子挑選物件開始，特邀請家長在家共同參與、挑選與決定二手物品的去留，同時訂定出一個合理的價格，再把物品帶到現場販售；而孩子們在市集裡早已經知道活動的核心意義，因此更卯足全力去推銷每一個物品，甚至還會運用技巧吸引參觀的師生購買。不同以往的是，這次也邀請低年級學童一起參加，希望孩子藉由實際的購買經驗，能夠落實數學領域與生活教育，讓學習得以走出課本並實際運用。活動結束後，每個二手物品大多有了新的歸宿，相信，這便是環境教育中最樂見的狀況。

　　葳格的孩子是幸福的，在享受幸福的同時，透過愛心二手市集活動，讓孩子們更願意毫無保留的付出，將活動的體驗化成實質的愛心，同時幫助更需要幫助的人。這是葳格教育中最深層的情意教學，也是重要人文的核心價值--充滿愛！
