On December 11^th, the ceremony of thanksgiving at the end of the year, and also a warm lamp-lighting was held at Wagor Academy. This got the ‘’Life Education’’ started and combined the performance of all of the music associations.

We had the ‘’Ocarina association’’, the ‘’Orchestra’’, and the ‘’Chorus’’; three kinds of music and art presentations. When Principal Shen let the colorful balloons fly up to ‘’the thanksgiving star’’ on the Christmas tree, it led to the climax of the whole ceremony. Flying balloons lighted the Christmas tree and made all the teachers and students exclaim.

There was not only ‘’Life Education’’, but also many thanksgiving activities, such as. ‘’ the making of thanksgiving cards’’, ‘’a charitable second hand market’’, and ‘’a thanksgiving lunch’’. Principal Shen said, ’’ We should not only pass happiness on, we should inspire the core of education-helping and caring for others. ‘’

We family believe that these activities will carry forward the function of education. ‘’Always being helpful and keeping a thankful heart.’’ ~ The Value and the Core of education at Wagor Academy.

　　葳格小學於12/11下午進行一場「歲末感恩、溫馨點燈」儀式，為本年度的生命教育系列活動拉開序幕，同時結合音樂社團的成果發表，讓學生有機會能夠上台表演。

　　過程中，邀請學校特色之一的「陶笛團」、甫剛成立的「管弦樂團」，以及剛完成四連霸的「合唱團」同台獻藝，展現葳格學子才華洋溢的一面。而點燈儀式的最高潮則是校長及家長代表合力將創意空飄汽球翩然飛向「感恩之星」的方式點亮聖誕樹，讓在場所有師生個個驚呼連連。

　　為了推動生命教育，輔導室12月設計一連串感恩意涵的系列活動，除了點燈儀式之外，還包含：感恩卡書寫、愛心二手市集及感恩餐禮等。而12/14登場的愛心二手市集，屆時將義賣所得全數捐贈至南台中家扶中心，響應公益。葳格小學沈月清校長表示，「在結合西方節慶歡樂氣氛的同時，若能引發出孩子們最良善的一面，並了解到整個系列活動所傳遞的核心價值，如此一來，學校的教育功能，更能徹底發揮。」

　　學校希望藉由活動的進行，能夠讓葳格的孩子學習「有能力就去幫助需要的人並隨時保有一顆感恩的心」的人文精神，這也是葳格教育體系的重要核心價值之一。
