The Wagor Bilingual Elementary School choir was formed only five years ago, but it has achieved a string of successes. Recently, it won first place in the Taichung City English Singing Contest on October 25^th. Amazingly, this choir has managed to win 1^st place for the last four years in a row.

Teacher Rebecca has been the choir teacher since the choir was formed 5 years ago. This year she started training the students a week before the new semester began. She said that she felt like there was more pressure than before because choir had won 1^st place for the past three years. In an effort to win the championship, she put a lot of time and energy into song selection. She also spent time selecting the body language and gestures for the contest. Her determination was rewarded. The students also worked very hard to succeed. They all tried their best to accomplish the goal, and they preformed extremely well.

Principal Shen said that one of the very important aims of our school is to teach our students through holistic education. The result of the Taichung City English Singing Contest has proven that hardworking students and devoted teachers are the reason for Wagor’s continued success. 

　　葳格西屯校區小學部成軍五年的合唱團，10月25日參加106學年度臺中市國小學生英語歌謠競賽，又再次拿下第一名的殊榮，同時更締造四連霸的佳績。這個得來不易的成績，歸功於認真的教學與行政團隊，及參賽學生共同努力所贏得的豐碩成果，而全校師生聽聞此訊都非常喜悅。

　　合唱團的靈魂人物--指導老師王郁恩，早在開學前一週便徵召合唱團的孩子開始練習，她強調，今年的壓力更甚以往，帶著必需完成四連霸的沉重使命，對於每一次的訓練更是小心謹慎，從曲目的挑選到動作的配合無不費盡心思。令人刮目相看的是，每個合唱團的孩子都帶著對唱歌熱愛的初心與堅持，在集訓期間個個積極投入，認真地做好老師所指導的每個步驟與技巧。

　　小學部校長沈月清表示：「養成孩子全人教育的理念，是學校重要辦學的精神，而孩子們經由不斷努力，所迎來甜美成果的笑容，更是趨使著那些願意無私奉獻的師長，繼續陪伴著孩子們一路勇往前行的動力來源」。而這次比賽的成績，也為學校藝文領域的音樂教學成果，再添上一筆驚豔的傳奇。
