The time has come for our annual Children’s Day week of fun!

A series of campus displays allows teachers and students to take a trip to Great Britain at any time. Famous landmarks "Big Ben", the "Tower Bridge", the "Tate Gallery", the century-old "Betty's Tea House", "Banksy" graffiti works, and the well-known "Platform 9 ¾" created by J.K. Rowling can be seen all around the campus.

Each year, thematic teaching and the international food experience are the highlights of our Children’s Day week of fun. Our thematic teaching this year included appreciation of English literature, exploration of history and geography, and experiencing art from the famous British graffiti artist, Mr. Doodle.

Principal Shen of the Xitun Campus Elementary School, spoke about the spirit of exploring the world being an important core value in Wagor’s curriculum. Children’s Day week allows students to experience cultural themes through immersive learning, and this is one of the main reasons why Wagor Elementary International School at Xitun has always been at the forefront of education!

一年一度的兒童節國際文化週在葳格起跑，今年2023葳格帶來了文化底蘊悠久的大英國協，讓整個校園充滿著濃濃的英國氣息。

一系列的校園佈置，讓穿梭在校園的師生，隨時都能進行一場偽旅行，著名地標「大笨鐘」、座落泰唔士河畔上的「倫敦塔橋」搭配著名紅色雙層巴士、每年遊客量衝破5百萬參觀人次的「泰德藝術館」、擁有百年歷史的「貝蒂茶坊」、世界塗鴉藝術的神秘創作者-「班克西」塗鴉作品，以及哈利波特作者J.K.羅琳所創作出來的「9 ¾月台」，都一一在校園還原，搭配著3/31兒童節慶祝大會-英國風裝扮日，學生個個化身充滿英倫風的貴族打扮，師生彷彿一日來回英國。

當然年度的兒童節主題國家體驗，課程的融入與美食的體驗也是每年的重頭戲，從英國文學欣賞與史地的探索開始，同時運用藝文領域中英國知名塗鴉藝術家Mr.Doodle塗鴉風格進行全校學生的集體創作藝術牆。3/31當天活動我們從蘇格蘭風笛、愛爾蘭踢踏舞、蘇格蘭手風琴表演欣賞，到體育領域中充滿王室貴族氣息的宮廷舞學習，再到英國風味餐炸魚與薯條的品嚐，以及知名英國下午茶體驗，在在都是英國悠遠歷史長河中，值得再三體驗與回味的學習清單。

小學部西屯校區沈月清校長表示「立足葳格、探索世界的精神，一直是校本課程中重要的核心價值，藉由每年孩子期待的兒童節，校園舉辦一系列慶祝活動，並佈置相關文化造景，讓學生更能以沈浸式的學習來體驗文化主題，而這也正是葳格國際學校始終走在教育前端的主因！」
