Wagor International School, Xitun campus, held a sixth-grade environmental education lecture activity this semester, and invited lecturer Xie Zongrui from the Circuit Board Environmental Welfare Foundation to the school to share and promote "Insect Pokémon."

Lecturer Xie Zongrui told the children that insects are closely related to our lives through the insects we often come into contact with in daily life. Even cockroaches! Most people dislike cockroaches. However, after analysis and research by scientists, a small and durable robot has been developed by using the elasticity and invulnerability of the cockroach body. It is a useful invention for search and rescue missions in earthquakes and disasters. Therefore, lecturer Xie Zongrui encouraged children to observe the behavior of insects around them instead of either ignoring insects or running away.

Finally, lecturer Xie Zongrui also reminded the children that in recent years, many factories have discarded waste water indiscriminately, causing environmental pollution, and leading to the extinction of many species. Shrimp and shellfish will soon become extinct if we do not act now. For the sake of all species, everyone can start by changing themselves. Simple acts such as eating local food, which can reduce carbon emissions; or reduce the use of disposable paper cups, plastic bags, or plastic eating utensils. These are all great ways to care for the earth!
